My Trip n’ Trade experience in Shanghai

Last summer I found an organisation that teach children Chinese in Shanghai on the Trip n’ Trade platform.

I worked there as a assistant, my job was taking care of the children, organise divers activities etc. I wasn’t paid for it but I lived in the residence for children from other countries and cities and thought for free, during 2 months, in the centre of Shanghai.

It was a fantastic experience as I could go to every activities organised by the organisation to discover Shanghai for free, and I lived and ate with the children and teachers for free everyday. Also, there was a very nice atmosphere, I met a lot of people and become friends with other assistants and teachers. I worked 4 days a week and the rest of the week I could do whatever I wanted. My job was pretty easy and nice, I had a lot of fun with children from all around the world. If I went to Shanghai without Trip n’ Trade, I would have payed much more for the same level of comfort, and wouldn't have experienced the city as i did. Especially for 2 months, I would not have been able to afford it.

That’s why I definitely recommend Trip n’ Trade for students like me, who don’t have the ability to pay a whole trip in a foreign country for a long period, but still want to experience something different, discover new cultures and meet new people !
